Missions Convention

Now those who had been scattered by the persecution in connection with Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch, telling the message only to Jews. Some of them, however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus. The Lord's hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.    Acts 11: 19-21

but God

Our Missions Convention is held every year on the first week- end of October. This year it will be October
4-5, 2008. Our choir presents a missions musical which is written each year by World Missions Department of the Assemblies of God. We invite several missionary families to be our guests for this week-end. They are given the opportunity to share their hearts with us. The Missions Convention is our opportunity to share with our missionaries and to all their stories and experiences to minister to us. We renew our financial and prayer commitments for another year to support and promote missions around the world. We believe this is our reasonable obedience to the Great Commission Jesus gave to his church.

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."    Matthew 28: 18-20
